Hello, my name is Gaspar Avila. I was born in the island of Sao Jorge and I'm now living in the town of Vila Franca do Campo, Azores islands (Portugal). I've been a photographer for 8 years, always trying to capure the unique beauty of the Azores islands, their people and culture.
The Azores islands are a Portuguese autonomous region. Nine beautiful islands in the middle of the Atlantic where people try to live side by side with nature. The ocean is always a great inspiration for me, and also our peaks and crater lakes, reminders of Azores volcanic origins.

Over the years, my photos have been published worldwide in many books, advertising and magazines, including National Geographic.

All my images submited to Fine Art America were made using professional photography equipment and editing software. Image quality is assured.
